For approximately twenty years, eligible low-income individuals and families have been afforded access to valuable nutrition services made available through CAPHMLC and its local community partners. In collaboration with the Madison County Commission and Alabama A&M University, CAPHMLC offers low-income families the opportunity to gather fruits and vegetables from a local 90-acre community garden. Furthermore, individuals and families that desire to grow their own fruits and vegetables at home are supplied with garden vouchers that can be redeemed for seeds and fertilizer through designated local vendors.
